[Tennis- ATP Lyon] 18.5/ 13:00 R.Opelka- P.Cuevas
Cuevas has already played 2 matches to qualify while Opelka has 3 days rest after losing to Nadal in the semifinals at Rome. Cuevas is 35 this year and his recovery time is not as quick as someone under 30. Through 5 matches last week, Opelka had 88 aces and had 80% win percentage on first serve versus credible opponents in Musetti, Karatsev, Delbonis and Nadal. Geneva appears to be at the same court speed as Madrid but a bit lower in elevation. Madrid is at 2188 feet while Geneva is at 1230 feet and big servers appear to be hitting their ace quotas yesterday such as Paire, Cazaux, etc. Balls at higher altitude move faster and bounce higher. I expect Opelka to have more than 15 aces and to be highly favored in tiebreaks.
