[Tennis- ATP Monte Carlo] 16.4/ 15:00 C.Ruud- F.Fognini
Both players' best surface is clay. Ruud won the last match against the Italian Stallion 6-3 6-3 at Hamburg (outdoor clay). Mirage from APEX Legends aka Fognini is the defending Monte Carlo champion from 2019, so there's some pressure. Ruud did have to come back from 2-5 in the third set against Busta so he may be a bit fatigued and Fognini may be the fresher player. However, Fognini has a tendency to lose interest in matches and give up midway as evident in some of his early round exits this year. Ruud's consistency and ability to run down every ball will frustrate Fognini into long rallies. Fognini's first two opponents this tournament are not quite as consistent and as fluid on clay. Ruud is riding on a lot of momentum beating two clay specialists back to back, and I would consider any of those two higher in skill level than Fognini (Fognini H2H with Busta = 1-7 | Fognini H2H with Schwartzman 1-1).
