RBA is 2-0 H2H vs Medvedev. I do not want to count the match in 2017 because both players have totally grown since then especially Medvedev in the mental and strategy department. The most recent match between the two's score was 1-6 6-4 6-3 at outdoor hard in Cincinatti in late Aug 2020 where it is not as humid as Miami in late March 2021. Weather tomorrow will be mid 80s around match time with humidity at 58% and wind at 12 mph, but it feels like the players are taking sweat baths because their socks and shirts are soaked. Both players are pretty much evenly match; there will be many long rallies. I would give the edge to Medvedev in the serving and power department. RBA does not go away easy as witnessed today vs Isner. I would give RBA the edge in the fitness, cardio, and mental department. He is a grinder. Medvedev will be controlling the pace most of the time while RBA will be the wall. There will be limited break chances unless someone is truly off his game. I would consider RBA top 10 talent, and most matches between top players are very close. This will probably go 3 sets.
