Vitória had a rough start of the season mainly because they brought in a bunch of young players and an inexperienced manager in Tiago Mendes. Since Tiago Mendes quit the team after the 3rd match, and since they signed João Henriques, an experienced manager that took Santa Clara to a surprising 9th place finish last season, they only have lost to Braga and Sporting, teams with a bigger budget that are suppose to end in the top four and fight for the championship.
On the other end, we have Portimonense, a team that was relegated last season and was brought back due to another team financial issues. They have 2 wins, 1 draw and 5 losses and are 15th out of 18 teams. That's how bad their situation is. They were even eliminated by a 3rd division team in the Cup. One more thing, one of their best players, Lucas Fernandes, is injured and he will not play for the foreseeable future. Btw, they're win against Nacional last week I believe was an outlier. Portimonense historical ex-manager, Vitor Oliveira, had just passed away and they got this one for him (RIP). Also they only won 1-0 by scoring a 89 minute penalty.
The only thing that scares me is the weather. Depression Dora hit Portugal today and tomorrow it will be cold, windy and it will probably rain during the match. Hopefully it doesn't destroy the pitch and affect the match too much.
