Manchester City’s pre-season squad consisted pretty much of Haaland, Grealish, Gvardiol and City youngsters. The scores in those games don’t account for much, the main takeaway here is Haaland who scored 5 goals in 4 games, which includes a hat-trick from his latest game against Chelsea.
No Foden, Stones, Walker or Rodri will play for City tonight. The likes of KDB, Doku, Akanji, Bilva, Dias and Nunes will all be available for selection though for City. That is enough firepower for Man City to win tonight’s game (Source: Man City).
Recently, Man United has had injury problems. Their main striker Hojlund and their new signing Yoro are both out for a couple of weeks minimum. Their last pre-season game ended in a 3-0 loss to Liverpool, but for the whole duration of the pre-season, there haven’t been any standout players. Amad Diallo has been in good form, but his teammates haven’t been that amazing. With not many signings, we are bound to see a reflection of last year’s Man United - Uncertainty, error-prone and sloppy football
