Rybakina was always a bit of a difficult matchup for Swiatek and since 2023 she is 3-1 against the world number 1 but we have to take into account that most of those matchups were played in hard courts. The kazakh player is much better in faster surfaces but Stuttgart makes her serve a lot more viable on Clay, since it's played indoors. In this tournament she had two difficult wins over Paolini and Kudermetova where she made some unforced errors but her serve ended up being the defining factor.

Swiatek loves playing in Stuttgart. She's 10-0 here and is without a doubt the best player on Clay. I really think she should win this match, even if Rybakina shows decent serve numbers. If we look at Swiatek's 2-0 wins in the last few rounds we had 22 games played against Raducanu and 19 games against Mertens so it's not like she completely bageled her opponents.

I feel like Rybakina is a great server who can also punish Swiatek's 2nd serve as she previously did in the last few encounters so I really like her to have at least a competitive match today. I don't wanna go for any handicaps towards Rybakina since there's always a chance of a 6-0/6-1 score in a certain set when we talk about Swiatek on her best surface but the pole is yet to display a complete dominant scoreline in Stuttgart and I don't think that will happen against Rybakina.
