Bayern come into this on great form. They’ll be disappointed with their 2-2 draw against Leverkusen at the weekend, but Leverkusen in my opinion are a phenomenal team and will definitely be looking to get into the top 4 in the Bundesliga. Before that they lost the SuperCup to Leipzig but went on to record confident wins over Werder (0-4), Augsburg (3-1) and Mochengladbach (1-2). A really nice partnership is forming between Kane and Sane and in general they look extremely threatening in front of goal.
United are shite. That’s the best and simplest way I can put it. I ranted about this before their game against Brighton where I predicted Brighton to get a result and totally tear them apart, but they are weak mentally and will know that they are totally outmatched coming into this match. Before that home loss they lost to Arsenal and Tottenham and barely won against Wolves and Nottingham. They have serious problems going on behind the scenes with Antony and Sancho, and are also carrying injuries with Amrabat, Shaw, Varane, Shaw, and a few others also out.
Their backline is leaky, and they just don’t have the legs to keep up with Bayern, nor the clinically in front of goal. Bayern generate a fantastic atmosphere in home UCL games and I see their attacking players having a field day here. I am predicting 2-0 or 3-0 to Bayern. United fans are extremely pessimistic about this game.
