[Football- England 'Premier League'] 18.9/ 20:45 Nottingham Forest- Burnley

Nottingham host Burnley for the last match of this match week and they’ve looked pretty decent so far in the league. They are riding a fantastic 1-0 win away from home at Chelsea and started the season okay, losing in a very competitive game against Arsenal, beating Sheffield United, and going up 2-0 early against Man United but losing that match 3-2. They have played much better than those two losses suggest.

They also have one of the most in form strikers in the league right now in Taiwo Awoniyi, who’s had a goal contribution in 8 consecutive games now. I think with his physicality he’ll have a serious impact in this match.

Burnley recently beat Nottingham 1-0 in an EFL fixture but both clubs played a very heavily rotated team so I’m not putting any weight on that match at all. Burnley have lost ALL three games so far this season and have conceded 3 or more goals in each of them. Burnley play a very high press, marking man to man and this is a serious issue against more attacking teams with good offensive players. Nottingham excel exactly at this, playing long balls over the top and I just see this being a bad stylistic match up for the visitors.

Last season Nottingham had the most success by getting narrow wins and important draws at home, and I think this could be the case this season again. Burnley are just way too open and look disoriented, and I don’t see them getting more than a point. The reason I’ve gone with DNB over the ML (which I’ll probably play anyway, or the over 1.5 TT, which by the way is a really nice value at 2.15) is that this is the first game back for both after international break and who knows if Kompany is going to heavily change his tactics.
