[Football- England 'Premier League'] 16.9/ 16:00 Manchester United- Brighton
We move on to Premier League which is FINALLY back, it’s been my bread and butter so far. I love this bet honestly, United have genuinely the weakest mentality out of any team in the league. Brighton are very very good and while I think this should be a close game, I see Brighton claiming a victory or at least getting a point.
There are some various off pitch issues including problems with Sancho and Antony that could have an effect on the locker room atmosphere for United, and their form so far this season leaves a lot to be desired. They were very lucky to win against Wolves in their opening matchweek, scraped a win against Nottingham Forest after going down 2-0, and suffered defeats against Tottenham and Arsenal away from home.
Brighton have started very well, with a huge 3-1 victory against Newcastle the previous matchweek, big wins against Luton and Wolves, and one bizarre defeat against West Ham. They are a club that really turn up away from home, and have scored in each of their last 15 away games. They are experts at a man mark press and that is exactly United’s kryptonite. United’s players also just don’t seemed conditioned, they have dropped in intensity in every game very severely towards the end of matches. As I mentioned, mentally they are frail and have been for years, no matter how many players they sign. I can promise, if Brighton open the scoring it could become real nasty for United.
United will be missing Amrabat, Varane, Mount, Antony, Shaw, Malacia, and Sancho, and Brighton will potentially be without Ferguson, which is a big loss but Brighton mostly gets goals out of their midfielders and wingers, so i’m expecting players among the likes of Mitoma, Groß, and March to perhaps get on the scoresheet.
I might add more to this but for now this a serious gut pick, as i mentioned with the Liverpool Villa match this is one of those where if you don’t take the line you’re gonna kick yourself, and if you lose you just put your hands up and say oh well. Either way i’m pretty confident in the pick.
Bet responsibly and always do your own research. I’ll be posting some other picks in the soccer thread through the weekend so keep an eye out for that.
