Monfils is clearly out of form, losing two matches since tennis came back in straight sets against likes of Koepfer and Hanfmann. He even asked for medical timeout against Hanfmann. In those two matches he only broke his opponent once which is a big yikes since they are playing on clay. On the other side, Bublik is clearly in form beating FAA and Ramos-Vinolas and ultimately losing to Garin in 3 sets in semis of Hamburg. To back that up with some stats other than eye test: he won most of the points on his first service in Hamburg: 85%, 80% and 76% in those 3 matches.
